STREETSTYLE: 90s GOTH

Not strictly streetstyle... I styled a shoot for my store with photographer, the ever wonderful Emily Scarlett Romain. I love photographing Bryony, she's such a natural infront of the camera and has great 90s Spice Girl style - see here if you don't believe me.

For the full set of Autumn lookbook photos check out my store's Facebook page (and hey, you might as well give it a Like whilst you're there).

Also, don't you love how the hair/sunglasses/purple lipstick combo make her look as though she should be in En Vogue (my current style icons) in their 90s heyday? I do.

SHOPPING: THE CALAMITY KIDS SHOP

So... I am starting my own ickle wickle concession at BLITZ VINTAGE DEPARTMENT STORE. I have been spending all my spare time sourcing some dead good girly chintz and dead weird curios. ALONGSIDE... drum roll please... these little gems! As a little girl I never had My Little Pony, so it is a constant struggle to fight the desire to keep getting the collection out and regressing to about six years old. Talk about nostalgia.

Disco the black terror is not for sale. Soz.

STREETSTYLE: 90s FRESH

When you see a trend reach some suburban nightmare highstreet store you know it's officially over (hello creepers! Oh if only you weren't bastardised by Rihanna!) But you know what? The whole 90s grunge look may look fucking awful when sported by some irritating, jumped up 17yr old who bought it straight off a Topshop mannequin (meow), but when it's done right it is SO FUN! Also I am just well jel and well bitter that I'm too old to pull it off anymore (I'm fodder for the over 25s category in X-Factor, like, jeesh, when did this happen?) So when I see kids (meant in non-patronising way, but maternal whimsical way) like Danny and Bryony respectively rocking the 1993 acid house and Babes in Toyland Barbie look I bloody love it.

PS. I'm fully aware I just used the word rocking. Just like when your mum tries to be cool. Cringe.

SHOPPING: LONDON LOVES LA.

The 90s are alive and well at the London Loves LA pop up shop on Redchurch Street. It's got that whole LA thriftstore feel going on, with plenty of stonewash, fringed suede, washed out as fuck band Ts plus lots of other vintage treasures. Alongside some of the sweetest 90s memorabilia which is reminding me how fucking old I'm going to be in two weeks... oh HI Sweet Valley High books. God I used to love that shit. I totally remember wishing I was Elizabeth or Jessica Wakefield... and of course, just like every other ten year old girl, I totes started my own Babysitters Club (it failed miserably, but hey!).

Oh Jenny! Hands up if you loved Singled Out?

STICKERS! Girly as shit! YEAH!
